Workshops
The JANNAF workshop is reserved for bringing the community together to address a specific task or problem, the outcome of which is important and substantial enough to warrant the publication of a final report detailing the discussions, conclusions, and recommendations that resulted from the workshop.

Covers the planning and approval processes for workshops held at a JANNAF Meeting.
To begin, complete and submit a Workshop Request Form
- Submit the form to your JHU WSE ERG Technical Representative (contact information can be found on the Meeting Focus page, the Contact Us page, or the respective subcommittee page) or the JANNAF Meeting Planning Team at meetings@erg.jhu.edu.

Important Workshop Deadlines:
- 1 December 2023 - Workshop Request Form submitted to ERG (minimum of Part A completed)
- 26 January 2024 - Workshop draft agenda and invitation list (part B), plus online submission of all Invited Presentation Details (must be submitted on time to be included in Preliminary Program)
- 8 March 2024 - Final workshop agenda and workshop approved by JANNAF TEC and ERG Director of Research and Operations (must be submitted on time to be included in Final Program)
Specialist Sessions
A JANNAF specialist session is an opportunity for experts in a specific technical area to meet to stimulate ideas and contributions from the audience. More information about specialist sessions:
- Dedicated to a single topic
- Often include invited presentations
- Organized similar to regular JANNAF paper session (time allotted for individual presentations) but often include moderator-led discussions or Q&A sessions with expert panelists
- Presentations may or may not be published as part of meeting proceedings
- Proceedings publication can include executive summary authored by session chair
To begin, complete and submit a Specialist Session Request Form. When it is submitted, the form must include a statement of justification for the session, as well as a complete/detailed draft agenda. The request must be reviewed and approved by the designated JANNAF Subcommittee Technical Steering Group (TSG) chair and JHU WSE ERG technical representative to be included in Final Program.
Important Specialist Session Deadlines:
- 1 December 2023 - Fully completed Specialist Session Request Form (including detailed draft agenda and applicable signatures) submitted to ERG
- 26 January 2024 - All Invited Presentation details submitted online (must be submitted on time to be included in Preliminary Program)
- 8 March 2024 - Final agenda and all Invited Presentation details (must be submitted on time to be included in Final Program)
