JANNAF December 2026 Meeting

The December 2026 JANNAF meeting will be held 
Monday–Friday, 7–11 December 2026 in Hampton, Virginia.

Unclassified sessions will be held at the Hampton Roads Convention Center.
Classified sessions will be held at NASA Langley Research Center.

This meeting includes the:

  • 54th Combustion (CS)
  • 42nd Airbreathing Propulsion (APS)
  • 42nd Exhaust Plume and Signatures (EPSS)
  • 36th Energetic Systems Hazards (ESHS)
    Joint Subcommittee Meeting, and 
  • Programmatic and Industrial Base (PIB) Meeting

Registration will open in mid-September.

To attend JANNAF you must have an active JANNAF account (apply here) and register to attend.

The overall security level of this meeting is SECRET due to the inclusion of Classified sessions in the program.

To be eligible to attend Classified sessions, in addition to the above requirements, you must:

  • possess, at minimum, a SECRET U.S. Security Clearance with a need-to-know in the areas of rocket, missile, space, or gun propulsion;
  • submit your registration form by 13 November; and
  • DoD employees only: submit your Visit Authorization Request (VAR) by 13 November
    All other attendees: JANNAF Security Clearance Certification Form by 13 November

Registration Rates

Registration fees are determined by your employment type and the date you submit your payment.

  • $1300 contractor

By 20 November

Regular registration rates:

  • $1200 government
  • $1400 contractor
  • $550 student*

After 20 November

Late registration rates:

  • $1300 government
  • $1500 contractor

Cancellation and Substitution Policy

Cancellations received in writing on or before Friday, 6 November will receive a full refund minus an administrative fee of $75.00. Cancellations made after Friday, 6 November will not be refunded.

Substitutes are welcome as long as the request for the substitution is from the original attendee, attendance eligibility is met by the substitute, and the original and substitute attendee are from the same organization.

*Student Registration Fee Eligibility:

  • Full-time undergraduate or graduate students
  • Full-time interns and cooperative education students

Required Student Proof:

  • Official documentation from your University indicating the semester during which the meeting will occur; the number of credit hours registered; and the number of credit hours considered full-time by your University for the applicable semester and student type (i.e., undergraduate, graduate, etc.).

    We do not accept certificates from the National Student Clearinghouse unless the other required information listed above is also provided.

Rate on this page will be updated when GSA FY2027 is known (by late September). For reference, the GSA FY2026 rate is $110. Tax rates are subject to change.

* Individual attendees employed by the Federal Government must supply a completed tax exemption certificate upon check-in to have sales taxes removed from their guest room charges. Tax exempt status applies to sales tax only; other taxes may apply.


 

Meeting Site for Unclassified Sessions

Hampton Roads Convention Center

The Hampton Roads Convention Center is adjacent to the Embassy Suites by Hilton Hampton Convention Center, resulting in a short walk from the hotel to the Unclassified session meeting space. 

If you need to drive to Unclassified sessions, the convention center offers free parking in their lot.

 


 

Meeting Site for Classified Sessions

NASA Langley Research Center

For greatest flexibility, you may drive yourself to the sessions and will find ample free parking available onsite. A limited shuttle bus service will be provided as well, for which more informaiton will be provided in mid-September. Only those who have completed registration for the JANNAF meeting and the additional step for Classified sessions will be permitted on the shuttle bus or into the facility where Classified sessions will be held. 

 


 

Hampton Travel

There are three airports to choose from when flying to the Hampton area. Newport News/Williamsburg International Airport (PHF) is 12 miles from the hotel; Norfolk International Airport (ORF) is 19 miles from the hotel; and Richmond International Airport (RIC) is 69 miles from the hotel. 

Car rental and rideshare or taxi options vary by airport. Click the link for each airport to view its respective ground transportation options: Newport News/Williamsburg International Airport, Norfolk International Airport, and Richmond International Airport

Amtrak is another option for travel to the Hampton area. The nearest station is Newport News, which is 11.5 miles from the hotel.

During lunch breaks Monday–Friday, the Hampton Scuttle Bus service will be available to transport attendees between the Convention Center and the Peninsula Town Center. A variety of restaurants are available in the nearby Coliseum Central area of Hampton, with even more options accessible by driving about 10 minutes to the Downtown and Phoebus areas. The city also offers several entertainment options to check out during any free time.
